Ratty’s Pit to Cutty

I’m guessing if NZ Billabong Team Manager AJ Matthews was surfing in the recent Brazil CT event this combo would have only scored a 3.5 or maybe a 5 if you pushed it. Floaters are where it is at these days, airs are out- too “Bread and Butter” according to the ASP, and barrels are so last year, and as for cutbacks, well they involve a direction change and have to be judged down as floaters are all about going horozontal… If only he had done a critical floater in two feet of water at the end it would have been a 10.

Its a shame AJ hasnt learnt the new ASP rules… DiggaSURF gives it a 4.3…
