Mr. Scozza Summer Pit

In the lead up to summer, TV channels were spouting predictions of a super hot one. Complete bollocks…I have a fan outside my sanding bay that I havent turned on once. Usually I have it cranking throwing a breeze through while I sand boards over the summer months. Normally you can go for a dawny in the height of summer with a vest and boardies. This sequence of Matt Scorringe he is rocking a steamer. Maybe February will come thru with the goods. I surfed today in boardies and a vest and it was ok but still a touch on the refreshing side. Fingers crossed for a late summer and warm autumn!

Inside Whales

Here a few shots from the dead whale that washed up on Whanga beach late last year. The best air shot of Breadon got used in the NZ Herald as well as getting a double page spread in the latest Kiwi Surf. The whale was buried in the sand dunes just to the left of the main Bar carpark and the inside section of Bar has since been renamed Whalies or Inside Whales. Poor old Raglan has an east coast namesake now…
